We are a small, friendly and successful independent pre-school located in the small town of Indo-Nepal Border region called Raxaul which is the part of Bihar state.

The school as a part of well recognized “My Chhota School” pre schools network,runs on the same schedule as the government schools , thus is closed during school holidays throughout the year. During the term we are open Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 12:00. Slatepencil-My Chhota School first opened its doors in 2023, and has since grown to accommodate 60 learners between the age of 2 years and 5 years old. The school is comprised of 3 classrooms, an office, a kitchen and a spacious outdoor play area.

Slatepencil allows children the freedom to be and learn through play and meaningful experiences. Slatepencil is Reggio Emilia and Montessori inspired – both these philosophies originated in Italy and are to a large extent child-led. Slatepencil recognizes that our children go on to main stream schools and the children are therefore introduced to the Latest NEP (National Educational Policy 2020) based curriculum in a fun and playful way considering EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION POLICY of Government of India . Our main focus lies in developing the child physically, emotionally and socially in a holistic way, so that they are ready for what is to come.
